Privacy Policy

1. Who operates this app

This app is operated by Segalo Media LLC dba Four28 Marketing (referred to as Four28). We provide this free informational tool for players, families, and fans. We are independent of USSSA and the event organizer. For privacy questions or requests, email info@four28.com.

2. Information used by the app

• Device preferences: your selected team ID for each division is stored in your browser’s local storage. Simulated picks remain in page memory and reset when the page is reloaded. The app does not intentionally send your simulated picks to Four28 or USSSA.
• Team links: a selected team ID can appear in the page URL. If you share that link, recipients can see the chosen team. URLs can also appear in browser history, hosting logs, screenshots, or the service you choose for sharing. A team selection does not establish that you are a player or team member.
• Technical request information: serving a website requires processing information such as an IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information, and response or error details. Hosting, delivery, and security providers may log these details and use cookies or comparable technologies for their platform operations. We do not promise that visiting the app is anonymous.
• Public tournament information: the app retrieves and displays published team names and identifiers, bracket positions, game times, scores, fields, and venue information. Team names may contain personal names or business names. The roster view also displays publicly listed player names, jersey numbers, positions, batting/throwing preferences, classifications, roster dates, season, and USSSA player IDs when supplied. It identifies the current-season roster, not tournament check-in or eligibility confirmation. We omit dates of birth and private administrative fields. We do not accept roster submissions.
• Messages you choose to send: if you contact Four28, we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you provide through that separate channel. Do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary to resolve your request.

The current app has no payment form, mailing-list signup, chat, user-upload feature, or request for precise device location, contacts, microphone, or camera access. We have not added visitor analytics, advertising pixels, session-replay tools, or behavioral advertising to the tournament app. Hosting providers may operate their own security or operational telemetry.

3. Browser storage and your choices

The app uses local storage entries beginning boonbrew2026_selected_ to remember your team for each division. Earlier app versions may have left boonbrew2026_selected or boonbrew2026_team_ entries. They persist until replaced, cleared by you, or removed by the browser. Clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings removes these preferences and saved simulations; blocking local storage may prevent them from being remembered.

Sharing is initiated by you through your device’s share sheet or clipboard. The app does not automatically send your team link to contacts. Clear browser history separately if you also want to remove previously visited team URLs. People with access to an unlocked or shared device may see saved preferences.

4. Why information is processed

Information is used to deliver the app, remember local choices, obtain and check public tournament data, diagnose errors, protect the service, respond to requests, and satisfy applicable legal obligations. If you separately ask about Four28’s business services, we use the information you submit to respond to that inquiry. Simply choosing a team does not subscribe you to marketing.

We do not sell visitor information or use the app’s team choices and simulations for targeted advertising. The Four28 footer is a static promotion shown to everyone, not an advertisement selected using an individual visitor profile.

5. Service providers and external sites

• Hosting and delivery: the app is published through OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare-based delivery/runtime infrastructure. Providers process technical requests as needed to operate, secure, and support their services. Their platform data practices also apply where they independently process information. • Google Fonts: the tournament screen requests fonts from Google’s servers. That connection exposes technical request information, including your IP address and browser headers, to Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy. These legal pages use system fonts.
• USSSA: our server requests public tournament and roster information. Team logos may load directly from USSSA-hosted image URLs, exposing technical connection information such as your IP address and browser headers to that image provider. The app does not intentionally forward your local simulation choices or visitor IP address in those source requests. If you follow an official-source link, you visit USSSA directly and its own policies apply.
• Maps, sharing, and Four28: map links open a separate mapping service. A map provider may ask for location permission under its own policies. Your chosen sharing service and the Four28 business website may collect information under their own practices when you use them. This app’s privacy statements should not be read as descriptions of those separate websites.

We may disclose information we actually hold to providers helping operate the service, professional advisers, or authorities where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect rights, investigate abuse, or address security incidents. If operation of this app is transferred, associated records may transfer subject to applicable law and appropriate notice. We do not provide local simulation histories to an advertising network.

6. Retention and security

Local preferences remain on your device as described above. The app retains public source snapshots, including sanitized public roster snapshots, and diagnostic evidence to verify tournament accuracy and investigate discrepancies; those records are not intended as individual visitor histories. Messages sent to Four28 may be retained as needed to respond, maintain relevant business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements.

Hosting and security log retention is controlled in part by the relevant provider; this policy does not promise a fixed deletion period for logs we do not control. When requesting deletion, identify the information and channel involved so we can determine what we hold and what a provider controls. Deletion may be subject to lawful retention obligations.

The app is served over HTTPS. No website, device, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid sending passwords, payment details, medical information, or government identifiers in an error report.

7. Privacy requests and applicable rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction, or objection concerning personal information we hold, and to complain to the relevant privacy regulator. Contact us using the details below. We will assess requests under applicable law and may ask for proportionate information to verify identity or authority. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically explain why they are needed.

We cannot identify a local browser storage entry from your name alone, and cannot remotely clear data stored only on your device. Use your browser settings for those entries. For information held independently by another provider, that provider may need to receive your request directly. We do not charge for or discriminate against lawful privacy requests except where applicable law allows an exception.

The current app does not use cross-site behavioral advertising or sale/sharing mechanisms that require an advertising opt-out control. It does not implement a separate response to browser “Do Not Track” signals; mandatory rights and applicable opt-out requirements still apply.

8. Children and geographic scope

This is a general-audience companion for an adult softball tournament, not a service directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps. Children should ask a parent or guardian before contacting Four28 or following external services.

The app is intended for this United States tournament. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Applicable legal protections and required transfer safeguards are not waived by this policy.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy as the app or applicable requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be described on this page, with additional notice or consent where required. An update does not retroactively authorize a materially different use of previously collected information where notice or consent is required.
